With a staggering estimate of over 5,000 industrial, commercial and service concerns operating within its boundaries, KIA serves as a bustling hub of industrial activity. This vibrant ecosystem provides employment opportunities to approximately 1.5 million workers, making a significant contribution to the economic well-being of Pakistan.
KIA is home to a wide range of industries, representing the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. Textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, engineering, towel, paint and various food sectors including spices, biscuits, tea and cooking oil.
KIA handles an impressive 40% of Pakistan’s leather exports, solidifying its status as a key player in the country’s industrial landscape.
KIA, one of Pakistan’s largest industrial estates, has an impressive 372 operative textile mills, supporting the country’s robust textile industry. A remarkable 78% of the country’s crude oil undergoes refinement in the two major oil refineries located within KIA—National Refinery and Pakistan Refinery.

This development further enhances KIA’s stature as a multifaceted business destination, attracting investors and financial institutions alike.
